We haven’t eaten at Megg’s in a while, so it was time, particularly since we’re celebrating birthdays this month.
I was surprised to see that they had added a patio area, and the day was gorgeous, so that’s where we sat. Don had a great barbecue sandwich, and I had the scrumptious shrimp and grits. Picture it, because you’ll have to (I forgot the camera), creamy grits surrounded by grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, corn cut off the cob, and okra, topped with huge shrimp, and pieces of seared pork belly and bacon. Then the whole thing was topped with a poached egg – absolutely delicious!
They’ve also added poutine to the menu, and I have it on good authority that it’s yummy. If you’re not familiar with poutine, it’s french fries with gravy and cheese curds. Just one more good reason to eat there!
