Cooking Classes at TSTC

Star of Texas Strip Steak Cooking Class Sept. 8

Learn to cook and grill with one of the top chefs in Waco: Texas State Technical College’s own certified executive chef and educator, Mark Schneider.

In the first of three classes, students will prepare a Star of Texas strip steak glazed in homemade Texas barbecue sauce and enjoy the meal with Schneider that includes Fettuccine Alfredo and Asparagus Almandine.

The class, set for Saturday, Sept. 8, will be held in the new Greta W. Watson Culinary Arts Center. Cost is just $50 per class, but is limited of16 participants. All classes will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Additional classes include:

  • Breakfast of Champions – With Quiche Lorene, the OMG omelet and “I made my own Granola” granola parfait, Sept. 15
  • Souperific – With whole chicken, chicken noodle soup, beer and cheese soup and New England clam chowder, Sept. 22
