(Breakfast) Chai Oatmeal

This is my new comfort food, for fall and winter.  This past summer I discovered Tazo Chai Latte.  The name is a little misleading, since you add your own latte (milk).  So what you’re buying is a box of concentrated Chai Tea.  It comes in a box like rice milk or almond milk would.  I keep a box in the fridge, to jazz up my water sometimes!

Oatmeal is a favorite “go to” breakfast for me, so I tried using the Chai with water, to cook it, and it turned out incredible.  Chai has cane sugar and honey in it, so you don’t need any sweetener, and it has lots of spice, but, as usual, I add stuff – nutmeg, cinnamon, and extra vanilla.  If you add milk, almond milk, rice milk, etc., instead of water, I’m sure it would be amazing.  And, of course, nuts and/or dried fruit would add another dimension.  For me, that dimension would be located in my butt, so I keep it simple!
